Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to share the Medical Device Training Officer role for managing medical device training and Clinical Lead role for the Medical Equipment Library for the Trust within the Department of Learning & Development here at RCH Truro. The position will have a remit covering the development of training across the organisation, participating in the investigation of medical device related incidents, establishing a comprehensive data base to capture staff competency and working closely with the Department of Clinical Technology and the Medical Equipment Library to ensure the safe use of medical devices across the organisation.
The successful candidate will enjoy a high degree of autonomy, and will be encouraged to engage with other clinical disciplines to support their use of medical devices. Engaging and relationship-building with staff cross the organisation will be essential to this role.
Main duties of the job
Applicants will need to demonstrate well-developed management and communication skills, as well as familiarity with current teaching and training methods on medical devices. Experience of presenting and leading groups will also be essential part of this role, as well as a demonstrable commitment to life-long learning and appropriate registration
