Job summary

Further Service reviews have highlighted the need for extra cleaning support at our Royal Cornwall Hospital site in Truro.

Healthcare Cleaning Professionals are a key part of keeping our clinical areas safe.

Main duties of the job

Applicants must be:

With a keen eye for detail in a clinical environment

These are full/part-time posts working 15 or 37.5 hours per week as follows:

  • 6/7am - 2/3pm Monday to Friday
  • 3pm - 11pm - 5 days out of 7 per week (enhanced rates apply)
  • 430pm - 730pm Monday to Friday
  • 7am - 3pm Saturday and Sunday (enhanced rates apply)

Enhanced rates between £16.14 and £20.95 per hour

Job responsibilities

To assist in the provision and maintenance of a high quality, specialised cleaning service by providing cleaning and associated duties to both ward and departmental areas within the Trust.

This is a key post vital to maintaining the Trusts hygiene and control of infection guidelines.General duties will include:

Cleaning. Use of specialist cleaning equipment including suction cleaners and scrubber driers. To be helpful, courteous and kind to colleagues, staff, patients and visitors alike. To be aware of patients dignity and privacy needs at all times and to act appropriately. To support the philosophy of team building within the department. Effective, positive communication. To ensure that the Departments philosophy of quality care and customer service is reflected in practice to the benefit of all Hospital Service User
