An
exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a passionate,
enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse with excellent communication and
leadership skills to join our team as a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse on Ward 3 on
our acute Gastroenterology ward.
Ward 3 is a busy 30 bedded ward, within the Directorate of Gastroenterology
based at South Tyneside Hospital. The
Junior Sister/Charge Nurse should be someone who is excited by the prospect of
supporting the Ward Manager and ward team in the delivery of high quality care,
preserving patient safety and continuing improvement of the service.
This is an exciting and rewarding role, which would
be suitable for a candidate who is motivated, compassionate, hard working, enthusiastic and conscientious you
will have well-developed motivational skills and evidence of involvement in
change management and improvement

for the safe, effective and compassionate nursing care for all patients in ward/department area

To supervise, support and educate junior members of the team, acting as
a role model.
Support ward/department manager to ensure organisational
goals/objectives are met within ward/department.
When taking charge of the
ward/department or in the absence of the ward/department manager, is directly responsible for ensuring that clinical,
professional and cleanliness standards are maintained in the entire
ward/department.
To ensure effective communication
internally and externally regarding patient care and resources.
To comply with the
trusts vision, values and behavioural compact.
