Job summary

This is a Part Time role for 22.5 hours per week,working hours Thursday, Friday and Monday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Patient Pathway Co-Ordinator for the Directorate of Vascular Surgery.

This will involve co-ordinating and providing administrative support to the Vascular and Cardio-Vascular multidisciplinary team, co-ordinating seminar clinics, collate and record accurate and timely data, provide up to date information on patients pathways ensuring any barriers or delays in treatment are removed. To monitor all waiting lists for the directorate and to support with the booking of theatre lists. You will work closely with Consultant Surgeons, Specialist Nurses, Deputy Admin Manager and Personal Medical Secretaries.

Applicants must have excellent organisational skills, be extremely efficient and be able to work under pressure as part of a large team and to tight deadlines.You must be able to prioritise and manage a busy workload and be committed to delivering the best care to patients.GCSE (Grade 4 9 or equivalent in Maths and English and NVQ Level 3 (business admin/or relevant experience) are needed. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (including Outlook and Excel) is essential and knowledge of medical terminology/medical administration is desirable. You should have an understanding of the 18 week RTT standard and application of rules through strict guidance.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will be to compile a list of patients for discussion during the Vascular MDT and attend the meetings.

Coordinate meetings, dates, rooms and agendas and document MDT discussions in Medtech recording these live.

Provide updates on patients pathway and ensure all MDT outcomes are acted upon by working with the vascular secretarial team.

Communicate standard letters to patients.

Validation or waiting lists and reports and booking of theatre lists.
