Job summary
An exciting
opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated individual to join our friendly
nursing team within the Sexual Health Services at Sunderland Royal Hospital,
the post is full time and permanent. The
post holder will work with young people from the Sunderland catchment area
providing contraception and sexual health care as well as working closely with
outside agencies that provide services for young people. They will identify any child safeguarding
issues and link in with and make appropriate referrals to the relevant services
i.e. Safeguarding team or Childrens Social Care. They will identify those young people who are
at high risk of pregnancy and provide support and education with regards to
pregnancy options, contraception and safer sex.

Develop programmes of care and
implement and evaluate these programmes of care for young people accessing
