Quality Improvement Lead

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

Are you looking for a new challenge within neonatal nursing, focussing on quality improvement with a particular emphasis on the planning of education and training and neonatal workforce issues? As a direct result of the Neonatal Critical Care Review (NCCR), there is a need for appropriately qualified staff to lead on these priority areas across the 10 neonatal Operational Delivery Networks (ODNs) in England. Due to the current post holder moving into another Network post, a vacancy has arisen in this now well-established role within the Northern Neonatal Network.

Following the NCCR and new funding being made available, we are looking for a full time Quality Improvement Lead to take these and other responsibilities on to help us deliver our ambitious transformation plans. We have a long track record of supporting, educating and training our Network staff, as well as the substantial workforce across our neonatal units and are now seeking to enhance this further. If you have an interest in these areas and want to take on a new challenge with support and encouragement from our dynamic Network team, this could be the role you have been looking for.

The interviews for these posts are scheduled for 18/07/23. For more details or an informal discussion about this role, please contact Martyn Boyd, Neonatal Network Manager on martyn.boyd1@nhs.net or 07795 062535.

Main duties of the job

There are 3 main areas of responsibility that you will be overseeing in this pivotal role;

1) Helping to ensure we have the nursing, medical & AHP workforce our neonatal units need, working with key staff within the Network and at Trust level with the aim of meeting NCCR staffing recommendations.

2) Quality Improvement initiatives, focussing on agreed areas of care and strategic importance to the Network. You will work closely with Network staff and others across the region, particularly colleagues at LMNS level.

3) Overseeing the planning of the Network education & training programme, working with Network Leads, clinical staff and others to deliver this and ensure that our workforce is suitably equipped to provide the best possible clinical care.
