Band 5
Childrens Speech and Language Therapy Post, full-time (37.5 hours per week), 18-month temporary contract.
We are seeking a qualified Band 5 Speech and
Language Therapist to join our Childrens Speech and Language Therapy Team in
South Tyneside and Sunderland.
You will work
within the Community and the Complex and Additional Needs parts of our team,
supporting children with a range of speech, language and communication needs in
nursery & school settings. You will
be based in Sunderland but will work with colleagues across our whole team. Our needs-led team is dynamic, well-structured
and well-run and you will have opportunity to work with other therapists and
assistants.

Main duties of the job
You will have
experience of working with children with a range of speech, language and
communication difficulties, and be able to assess, plan and provide
intervention and therapy within a range of settings.
You will have
excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to working in a
multi-disciplinary way to facilitate the best outcomes for children. You will
be well-supported by our dynamic Speech and Language Therapy team. You will be
part of a forward-thinking department that provides a range of specialist
services and is always striving to be innovative and put research into practice
to improve patient outcomes. Developing
