Job summary
We are recruiting for a Band 3 role in administrative services to support our patients and colleagues within the Medical Physics Department in the Directorate of Diagnostic Imaging. Main duties of the job
This role is based at Sunderland Royal Hospital. Hours per week 37.5 hours, Monday and Tuesday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
The Post is based at the Medical Physics Unit in Sunderland Royal hospital. The Medical Physics Unit at Sunderland is part of the Directorate of Diagnostic Imaging within the Trust. Work at other sites within the wider organisation will be occasionally required.
This Post involves a variety of administrative and secretarial work involved in assisting clinical staff in providing the technical, scientific, and clinical services of the Department which include Nuclear Medicine and Bone Densitometry.
You will ensure high standards of patient documentation at all times and assist in developing a sensitive and caring environment for patients and carers within Medical Physics. You will provide administration and secretarial support to the Department.
You will have excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills (with a sound knowledge of MS Office), the ability to work efficiently with staff from a range of professional groups and the ability to communicate effectively with patients are essential.
