The Radiology Administrative Team provide a range of secretarial, support and administrative services to our patients and colleagues within the Directorate of Diagnostic Imaging. We expect enthusiasm, flexibility, teamwork, respect and compassion. Main duties of the job

This is a cross-site Post - you will be expected to work at both South Tyneside Hospital and Sunderland Royal Hospital as and when required.

As a Support Secretary you will work closely within a team of secretarial and other administrative staff, providing a wide range of secretarial duties to support the Radiology Department. You will be involved in supporting our clinical teams, urgent reporting processes, appointments processes and general enquiries, providing excellent and timely administrative services to our patients.

This is a demanding but very rewarding Post, dealing with patients and staff inside and outside of the Trust and will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a professional, friendly and approachable manner.

You should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with passes in English Language and Maths or equivalent literacy and numeracy Level 2 skills, or an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent vocational experience. Effective IT skills are essential as all work is undertaken using a variety of software packages. You will have significant experience of working within administrative team using all Radiology IT systems, including Soliton and Meditech.
