Job summary

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice HR Assistant to join our team and be supported through an apprenticeship route.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a flexible approach, to provide an inclusive and quality administrative support service withinour Employee Relations and Inclusion Teams.

The duration of the apprenticeship is 24 months subject to regular reviews to demonstrate progress and following successful completion will be moved into a substantive position. Apprentices will commence on Annex 21 of the salary which is a training wage and to support development in the role, the postholder is required to complete a L3 HR Support Apprenticeship Standard over the period of the apprenticeship. Maths and English is required at GCSE minimum grade C/4 or Level 2 in same subjects.

Main duties of the job

As our Apprentice HR Assistant you will:

  • Provide administrative support to the Employee Relations and Inclusion Teams.
  • Provide an initial point of contact for both teams, promptly dealing with telephone enquiries, providing a friendly service.
  • Work as part of a team, developing good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Work flexibly and be adaptable to the changing needs of the service.
  • Plan and organise your own workload.
  • Demonstrate compassionate and inclusive values.
