Job summary
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Financial Management team
Key requirements:
Desirable:
Experience of using computer systems such as Oracle Financials.
Experience in using Microsoft packages.
NHS Experience
Essential:
AAT part-qualified or equivalent, or actively studying towards full AAT qualification, or with significant role experience.
Good Interpersonal and Communication skills especially working well with non-finance colleagues.
Strong analytical skills an eye for detail and accuracy especially using excel spreadsheet and other systems.
Good time management skills working to tight deadlines.
The role is based at Sunderland Royal hospital. The Financial Management team currently work flexibly and work a hybrid model of working, hours are Monday to Friday. You will work within a well-established team, with a focus and enthusiasm for training and further development. Flexible working is supported.
Main duties of the job
The role will encompass:
- The provision of a high quality financial advice and business support service to the division.
- Financial Management reporting and budgetary control across the division.
- Supporting Finance Manager in monthly closedown of the general ledger system in line with deadlines.
- Part of the role will be to use a computerised ledger system and Microsoft office packages, this is to provide analysis to department managers and budget holders
- Assisting in production of income and/or expenditure budgets, monthly management reports and reconciliations
