We have an exciting secondment opportunity for a nursery
nurse to join our well established 0-19 team. Applications welcome from

to supporting children and their families who live in South Tyneside. We have
strong links with all local partners both statutory and voluntary.

Main duties of the job
Work
in partnership with and experienced team of Health Visitors and School nurses
in the delivery of the Health Child Programme ranging from universal in reach
to targeted in response
Support
the delivery of baby clinics, public health sessions and be able to carry out
home visiting
Support
public health activities e.g. breast feeding, healthy weight and healthy
lifestyle
Work
with families, children and young people to support behaviour management and
behaviour change
To
work in partnership with Trust and South Tyneside Safeguarding Children &
Adults Partnership
To
assist in programmes of care for children 0-19 years with complex health needs
Skills
around record keeping and be able to use of IT systems
We
have a flexible and agile working practice

The Community Nursery Nurse is a member of the 0-19 Team and works in collaboration with other agencies to improve the health of pre-school children and their family.

To contribute to the National and Local Agenda around School Readiness under the supervision of health visitor/school nurse.
