Job summary
We are
currently in the position to recruit a Registered Nurse to ICAR (Intermediate
Care and Rehabilitation) unit
This is an
excellent opportunity for an individual with an interest and desire to contribute
to the delivery of high quality nursing care to patients with complex care and
rehabilitation needs.
You will be
part of the multi-disciplinary team, consisting of Medical staff, Pharmacists,
Nurse Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and
Health Care Assistants providing high quality holistic care to patients and support
to their families.
The team is
welcoming, friendly and supportive and the successful applicant will be fully
supported.
You will be
responsible for the delivery of individualised patient care, through
assessment, care planning and evaluation of care and be able to make clinical
decisions with a sound knowledge base associated with this patient group.
You will be
expected to maintain agreed standards of care, directly protecting and
promoting patients dignity, choices, self-esteem and well-being at all times
with compassion and commitment.
Main duties of the job
You will be
working within a service that provides in-patient care so will be working to a
rota which covers 24 hours seven days per week including bank holidays.
You will be/have:
1st Level Nurse
The desire to
make a difference in this clinical environment with an understanding of the
complexity of frail, elderly patients and those requiring rehabilitation.
Experience in a
hospital/care environment.
Demonstrable
communication skills.
Good
organisational skills
The ability to
work as part of a team.
Able to move
and handle safely without causing harm to yourself or others.
