Dermatology Service, Sunderland 2 sessions per week. Permanent contract.
The Community
Dermatology service, based at Bunny Hill Primary Care Centre, is looking for an
experienced General Practitioner, with a Special Interest in Dermatology (GPwSI), to
join our friendly, forward thinking team.
Our team
consists of well-established GPwSI, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Surgical
Nurse Practitioners, and Specialist nurses supported by a team of Health Care
Assistants and Administrators. The service offers local, high quality treatment
for a range of general dermatological conditions, including lesion recognition
and minor surgery, in a community setting, providing care closer to home. A
Single Point of access plays an important part, determining through a robust
triage system, that patients are seen by the right practitioner, at the right
time and in the right place, working closely with our secondary care colleagues
for direct onward referral, where necessary.

Main duties of the job
The post holder
will have a wide experience in assessing and treating patients with a wide
range of dermatological conditions.
They will be
expected to have completed accredited dermatology diploma and ideally would
have surgical skills.
They will have
proven interpersonal and communication skills and work well within a team,
evidence of clinical leadership and able to manage their own case load, working
within agreed policies and procedures, relevant to the role
