The Recovery at Home Team are looking to recruit Admin Assistant/Call Handlers to join their team due to expansion in service.
Recovery at Home provide Urgent Community Response and Virtual Ward Services, across South Tyneside and Sunderland. The teams are based in Clarendon, Hebburn and current Sunderland base is Leechmere Independent Living Centre. The Sunderland Base will change going forward, which will be Loftus House in Sunderland, the potential date to move is end of June 2024 but this may change.
The team consist of an extensive MDT which includes nurse practitioners, nurses, a general practitioner, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, health care assistants, therapy assistant/exercise practitioners and administrative staff. Our virtual ward is overseen by a Consultant. The team also works closely alongside partner agencies including those from social care, assistive technology and voluntary sector services.
As an Admin Assistant/call handler you would be the first point of contact dealing with calls from patients, service users and colleagues. The service is a fast paced often with multiple demands so excellent organisational skills and flexible approach to work is needed.
The current vacancies are: x1 30 hour post and x1 37.5 hour however there flexibility around job share for the right candidates.
Successful candidate(s) will be required to cover either bases dependent on service need.

The successful candidate will be hardworking and be patient focused. They will be organised and have the ability to prioritise workload without direct supervision.
There is an expectation to work between the hours of 8am and 8pm 7 days week, therefore the successful candidate will need to have flexible approach to work to and be adaptable to service need as in times of shortfalls there will be an expectation to cover either South Tyneside and Sunderland dependent on service need.
The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills with attention to detail, ensuring accurate and timely inputting/updating of patient details, appointments and information into clinical records.
Working Hours in South Tyneside are:
Monday-Sunday between hours of 08.00am- 8.00pm
Working hours in Sunderland are currently:
Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am 5pm
