#TeamUHD are looking for a porter and security supervisor with excellent leadership qualities to join the team at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

You'll ideally have experience leading in an acute hospital environment providing porter and security services. We're looking for someone who's passionate about ensuring a high-quality portering service is delivered across the hospital.

This is a full time position.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Main duties of the job

  • To supervise all aspects of service delivery for a high quality Portering and Security service, maintaining adequate staff levels to meet service demand
  • To coordinate, liaise & communicate with wards & departments,allocating Porters in an efficient, effective manner to support the delivery of excellent patient care in line.
  • To provide and supervise security response to staff and customers with a view to the positive management, prevention and reduction of crime, violence and aggression.
  • Supervise and maintain the access control of the DepartmentalOps/CCTV control room
  • Ensure staff training and competencies are maintained

  • NVQ level 3 or GCSE level A - C or equivalent Including; Maths Numeracy and English

Desirable

  • Security Industry Association licence (SIA) NVQ level 4
  • Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression
  • Trained in Compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
  • Leadership & Management Apprenticeships Level 3: First Line Managers

Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable ability to lead, plan and prioritise own workload and that of others.
  • Previous Customer care environment
  • Experience of Supervising staff

Desirable

  • Experience in leading in a General acute hospital environment providing porter and security services, or able to demonstrate excellent transferrable skills.
  • Previous security experience
  • Major incident and business continuity response awareness

  • Helicopter Landing - ground procedures
