Job summary

This a unique role to work at a senior radiographer in the radiotherapy department caring for patients and working for Health Sciences University (HSU) supporting students. The job holder will equally split their time between both institutions.

The successful applicant will be seconded to HSU to days per week.

Main duties of the job

At UHD the post holder will act as a senior radiographer in delivering high quality radiotherapy treatment/planning of patients on the units as prescribed by the Clinical Oncologist.

To recognise when advice of a senior member of staff should be sought and to take appropriate action.

At HSU their duties will include incollaboration with both organisations, plan and coordinate practice placement allocations within agreed capacity.

Onboarding of HSU students and design and deliver inductions which enrich studentexperience.

Work in partnership with the therapeutic radiography team to ensure that training programmers are delivered, and competencies assessed in practice.

Participate in the delivery of clinical simulation and professional development educationand training
