You'll be passionate about infection prevention and control, dedicated to keeping patients, visitors and staff safe across the trust. You'll support the trust agenda in meeting national and local targets in relation to infection prevention and control, driving compliance and adherence to the Health and Social Care Act, code of practice on the prevention and control of infections.
We're looking for someone who will act as an advocate ofhigh-quality care, promoting excellence in infection prevention and control with dignity and respect.

Main duties of the job
o To provide specialist advice and support to clinical teams working in the Trust to ensure adherence to good practice in infection prevention and control.
o To act as an advisor within the Trust and its Clinical Care Groups disseminating specialist skills and knowledge to all staff groups, patients and visitors.
o To be visible and accessible to staff, patients and visitors, always acting as a role model.
o To work in collaboration with the infection prevention and control team and senior clinical staff
o To participate and deliver mandatory and other training to Trust staff.
o To participate in local and national audits.
o To participate in the Trust Infection Prevention and Control Strategy, including policy and procedure development
o To participate in the daily organization and responsiveness of the service.
o Promote professional practice and ensure all staff comply with relevant legislation and Trust policies.
