Support Secretary/Admin Clerk in Trauma and Orthopaedics

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an Admin/Support Secretary to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

The role will provide support to the fracture clinic appointments team plus administration and secretarial services to the Orthopaedic Secretariat. The successful applicant should have experience in answering patient / customer enquiries and booking appointments within a hospital as well as excellent typing skills, good organisational skills and the ability to work within a team as well as unsupervised.

This post is part time 25 hours per week.

Base Location Poole and Bournemouth

Main duties of the job

To support the fracture clinic appointments on the system and to phone patients accordingly.

To provide support to the secretaries within the department undertaking typing of ward rounds and clinic letters.

Undertake any clerical duties required by the team including any non-clinical administration duties as requested by the team

To work as part of a team and to liaise with other team members to ensure most appropriate secretarial and administrative support is provided.
