Whilst previous endoscopy experience may be advantageous it is not essential as we provide training and competency assessment.The post holder will have an important role in this large and dynamic team that includes a team of Nurse Endoscopists, Gastroenterology Consultants, Colorectal/Upper GI Surgical Consultants and a large nursing and HCSW team.
This role requires an active UK NMC Registration
Please note: all staff being recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across all Trust locations when service demands require it.
On Call roster is required to be covered ( nights/weekend and Bank Holiday all day)
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital but you will be required to work at Poole and Wimborne Hospital

Bournemouth Endoscopy Unit consists of 6 procedure rooms (including ERCP being performed in X-ray department). Poole Hospital has 3 procedure rooms and Wimborne has 1 procedure room.
Across sites we provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including: Gastroscopy's, colonoscopies, flexible sigmoidoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Bronchoscopy and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and provide Bowel cancer screen programme lists
