An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 Enhanced Clinical Practitioner (ECP) or Band 6 trainee ECP (progression role to Band 7 on attainment of ECP Qualification & required competencies) to join our teams working within the Breast, Endocrine, Skin & Sarcoma Team.
The post holder will likely be based at Bournemouth, with the need for cross site working to other University Hospitals Dorset sites.
Together with our established, experienced team the successful candidate will be responsible for provision of nurse led new patient, follow up clinics , supporting consultant breast surgeons, have a key role in nurse led follow up for patients accessing the breast service at University Hospitals Dorset, coordinating/participating in MDT meetings & providing support & training to inpatient & primary care services.
We are looking for an energetic nurse with proven ability to work autonomously in an enhanced practice role, with a zest to make a difference in the care of breast patients. As there is a significant oncology component to the post, previous experience in medical/surgical oncology is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. More important in this role will be a nurse who is highly organised, motivated to learn, with excellent communication & team working skills.
