Job summary
We invite applications for an international Medical Graduate (IMG) Fellow post to support, guide and champion the needs of International Medical Graduate doctors at UHD.
The post will be based across UHD (Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospitals) with 80% of the time allocated to IMG education, training and support initiatives and 20% (1 day per week) to an area of clinical interest to ensure the post holder's clinical skills are supported and maintained. This post does not require out of hours work.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery and development of awide variety of Education and Training initiatives to support our International Medical Graduates at UHD.
UHD has over 200 locally employed doctors (LEDs) of which around 75% are International Medical Graduate doctors (IMGs). In addition a significant proportion of our doctors in regional training programmes are IMGs. This post will focus on developing and delivering processes which enhance the working experience of IMG doctors at UHD and support their career development.
