Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our busy Community midwifery team at Royal Bournemouth Hospital!
The successful applicant will join a well-established team who administer the Outpatient Clinics and take all referrals from women via the self-referral service.
The successful candidate will provide an efficient clerical and administrative service to the Community Midwives and, with colleagues, provide a cohesive service across the acute and community services
Applicants should have excellent administrative/clerical experience, and good computer skills. You need to be organised and be able to cope with the day-to-day work that is brought upon the team. There is a requirement for accuracy, attention to detail and an ability to work in an efficient and timely manner at all times. It is a very busy environment with a constant flow of traffic from all areas within the unit.
The post holders will be asked to work:
Monday, Thursday, Friday 8-4pm (22.5 hours per week)
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Main duties of the job
To provide administrative support to the teams of Community Midwives e.g. receiving incoming calls to community office, photocopying, filing, scanning, copy typing ; disposal of sensitive material, whilst maintaining confidentiality
Act as a point of contact for the Community Midwifery Team, to ensure patients and staff are kept informed of any changes to planned appointments.
To process new referrals using e CAMIS, and provide necessary documentation to community midwives to ensure women receive their care in line with national guidance.
