Job summary
- The post holder will be a nurse or allied health professional with advanced clinical skills and an expert knowledge base, who will be responsible for the educational development of all areas of the Older Persons Medicine. The Practice Educator will support the provision of professional leadership for nurses working in the directorate
- The Post Holder will be expected to work alongside staff during their shift to sign off competencies and aid training and development throughout all directorate Nursing and AHP Staff.
- A key element of the role will be the identification of the learning and development needs of Nursing and AHP staff working in medical specialties.
- Developing a learning framework and competencies to be used in supporting and signing off Core Clinical competencies and specific skills identified by medical specialties.
The post holder will also contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures within their sphere of responsibility
