Dementia and Delirium Support Worker/Dementia Tier 2 trainer

The UHD Dementia and Delirium team is seeking a Band 3 Support worker to provide dementia Tier 2 training across UHD, whilst also working clinically supporting patients living with dementia and or experiencing a delirium. The successful candidate must have significant experience in dementia care, previous teaching experience is desirable. Training will be provided to enable the successful candidate to deliver the Tier 2 training.

Dementia tier 2 is delivered Monday -Friday 8:30am - 12:30pm, following delivery of training you will then work clinically as a dementia and delirium support worker, mostly supporting therapeutic activities on the inpatient ward areas. Currently the role does not include working bank holidays or weekends, however this may change in the future.

You will require the ability to prioritise your own workload, have a flexible, proactive and resilient attitude in an ever-changing environment, alongside organisation skills and IT skills (including power point and EPR). Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential.
