Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to head up our clinical coding department.

The Head of Clinical Coding Services will lead the clinical coding team and drive a sustainable improvement in coding accuracy, depth, completeness and productivity through the ongoing delivery of training and quality audits.

The postholder will be the first point of contact for senior Trust colleagues and the Trust's primary source of expertise, in relation to clinical coding, whilst providing oversight and guidance to ensure an optimal service is provided.

The postholder will represent the Trust in external regional and national groups, and develop a commercially viable clinical coding service.

The department has a good track record of coding development, audit and transformation and staff are committed to ensuring that a first class service is provided.

Base Location: Cross sites - Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Poole Hospital and Christchurch Hospital
