Job summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive administrator to join our dynamic Temporary Staffing Services (TSS) team. In this role, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every aspect of our administration and compliance processes are meticulously managed. Your work will be crucial in maintaining the high standards required for our temporary workforce, ensuring that our services run smoothly and effectively.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Main duties of the job

As the TSS and Compliance Administrator, your ability to swiftly and accurately manage administrative and compliance processes will be key to maintaining our staffing standards.

You will oversee the onboarding and verification of requirements for all bank and agency workers, ensuring that every detail is checked and every deadline is met.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for queries, providing quick, clear, and detailed responses to agencies, managers, and workers.
  • Maintain and monitor systems with precision, ensuring all statutory and mandatory training, professional registrations, DBS checks, and right-to-work documentation are up to date and compliant.
  • Coordinate and confirm compliance information with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring no detail is overlooked in our fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare detailed reports and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our compliance processes, keeping pace with evolving standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good standard of general education (4 GCSEs at A-C level, or equivalent), including maths and english language.

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience of office work and general administrative tasks, including dealing with telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries.
  • Previous experience of working as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team, in a busy and challenging office environment.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in the NHS.
  • Previous experience of working in temporary staffing services/staff deployment in a similar setting, either in public or private sector.
  • Previous experience of recruitment/ onboarding practices.

Technical Skills and Competencies

Essential

  • Excellent IT skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook and Sharepoint.
  • Excellent written skills, with an excellent command of the English language.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, under own initiative and organise own; working to tight and often changing timescales/deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain high standard of attention to detail despite pressured working environment.
  • Excellent data entry and database maintenance skills.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with temporary staffing systems currently in use - including HealthRoster, BankStaff, TempRe and ImageNow.
  • Familiarity with an electronic staff record system (ESR).
