Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Breast Care Nurse to join our team at University Hospital Dorset. The post holder will be responsible for providing high standards of care and holistic nursing to breast cancer patients that attend the Jigsaw unit.
They will need to be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team and they will be accountable for their own professional practice. The successful candidates will give support, education and guidance to patients and cares throughout a patients cancer journey. Additionally they will also support the band 7 CNSs and be able to liaise with other members of the MDT.
This role requires an active UK NMC Registration

- RGN, Qualified for a minimum of 2 years
- Post-registration development to diploma/degree level or equivalent, i.e. BSc Cancer Nursing

- Counselling skills

- Advanced communication skills certificate
Experience

- Demonstrate experience within oncology/breast cancer
- Surgical ward experience
