University Hospitals Dorset are working to develop an expanded service for the Dorset community and wider areas.

At this exciting time, are you what we are looking for?

With the new management team in place and focus on quality, transformation and service development. We are increasing our operating theatre suite and are looking for motivated people. Come and join our expanding theatre department to enhance the Trauma & Orthopaedic and Anaesthetic teams supporting the demand.

We offer great opportunities with an extensive educational program, to include the development of Surgical First Assistants (SFA), Anaesthetic Practitioners, leadership and management development to name but a few.

You will be either a:

  • Registered Operating Department Practitioner, Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse. Experience of working in more than one area (scrub, recovery, or anaesthetic assistance will be an advantage).

Or

  • Newly qualified

Base Location: Poole

Main duties of the job

Working with multi-professional colleagues in a busy theatre department, you will be flexible and have experience of working in an operating theatre setting. There are a number of specialities including; head and neck, trauma & Orthopaedics, general, gynaecology, paediatric day case surgery, vascular, urology , anaesthetics and recovery- and you will become a valued member of our team. We are looking for dual or multi-skilled practitioners. Your peers, anaesthetists, surgeons and senior staff will support you to develop your skills and to expand your practice
