Job summary
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic inventory controller, who is driven to making a difference. This role will be within the Commercial Services department at University Hospitals Dorset.

You will be:
- Responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination, delivery and deployment of inventory management services.
- Ideally have experience of working within a purchasing, supply chain or inventory management environment or able to demonstrate transferable skills.
- Good level of keyboard skills and MS applications

Main duties of the job
- Ordering, receipting, verifying and unpacking of products/goods.
- Issuing and distributing products/goods to internal areas to support patient care.
- Analysing supply chain data to ensure uninterrupted availability of stock.
- Reviewing supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock

- Attainment of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) certificate/foundation level qualifications or NVQ level 3 qualification in a supply chain, customer care or transferable subject or equivalent training and/or proven professional experience
Desirable
- Fork lift truck training
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Full car driving licence
Experience / Knowledge

- Experience / knowledge of inventory / materials management or warehousing processes
- Knowledge of operational buying processes, goods receipt/return etc.
