Job summary
An opportunity has arisen within the Medical Care Group for a Deputy General Manager post to lead a plurality of specialties within the Care Group at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD). Portfolio to be discussed and preference determined at interview .
The Medical Care Group is a large and dynamic team. It is currently compromised of the following specialties:
- Gastroenterology and Endoscopy
- Respiratory Medicine
- Diabetes & Endocrine
- Dermatology
- Rheumatology
- Neurosciences
- Older Peoples Services
- Acute Medicine
- Emergency Care
- Cardiology
- Neurosciences
The post holder will be required to work across all sites within UHD. Discussion regarding the post and secondment opportunities are welcomed.
This role requires First degree or has appropriate level of seniormanagement experience. Masters' degree or equivalent relevantexperience to the role or demonstrable equivalentworking experience.
Base Location: Poole/Bournemouth

The purpose of this role is to lead the Directorates in ensuring the provision of high-quality patient services that are clinically safe, delivered cost effectively and meet the Trust's Values, priorities and performance targets.
