Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work for both University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust and Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a qualified medicines optimisation technician to join our teams in this new cross-sector post. You will be working across different hospital directorates and in local care home settings, allowing you to develop a wealth of skills in this widely varying role.
You need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work as part of a team but also have the ability to work flexibly and independently in a professional manner.
This role requires registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council

You will be required to work on the late night, weekend and bank holiday rotas. You will also be required to work flexibly.

Informal visits and enquiries are fully supported and encouraged. We could also offer a taster day at a care home with another technician.
If you are a registered Pharmacy Technician and do not meet all of the essential criteria in the person specification, we still welcome your application as we may be able to offer further training (starting salary will reflect qualification). Training for working in care homes will be provided as part of the role.
