An exciting and rare opportunity is now available for a dynamic, forward thinking and innovative pharmacist to help shape the future of cancer services in Dorset as our Lead Pharmacist for Cancer Care.
This unique and varied role is offered either as a job share or part time basis (up to 15hrs per week) to enhance the current job holders role. Working across the highly regarded Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital you will help lead and shape the future of pharmacy cancer services across the region.
This post is jointly responsible for the management of pharmacy cancer services at UHDDevelop a vision / strategic direction and lead on the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of long-term strategies, operational policies and standards for aseptic services, oncology pharmacy, and ensure that these are aligned with and support the pharmacy department, oncology directorate and Trust strategies
This role requires a Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and General Pharmaceutical Council registration

Main duties of the job
Be an active member of the pharmacy senior leadership team, including developing strategy and managing changeo Responsible for Operational Management, delivery and improvement of the aseptic pharmacy service, cancer pharmacy service and pharmacy quality assurance service.o Acts as joint accountable pharmacist for aseptic pharmacy services being responsible for all aspects of the service within the two unitso Maintains a high quality, cost effective, safe and responsive service to staff and patients.o Develops the services to the directorate in line with the needs of the cancer directorate and patients, working closely with the managers, Consultant Pharmacist and the Pharmacy senior leadership teamo Work with the pharmacy cancer and aseptic teams to improve efficacy and avoid duplication of effort.
