Job summary
We are looking for a professional, energetic and ambitious individual to join the busy management team within the Cardiology Directorate.
This is an extremely busy and varied role, and you will need to be able to manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure at times. You will also need to be exceptionally well organised, work on your own initiative and be able to cope with ever changing priorities and demands.
The post holder will be required to lead on administration for the Cardiology Directorate and manage a team of approximately 35 clerical and secretarial staff cross-site, developing administrative systems and processes in line with agreed standards, and in collaboration with the medical specialties senior management team.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience of staff appraisals and recruitment processes, together with a broad knowledge base of IT systems used within the NHS and will be experienced in the use of all Microsoft Office products, with a high level of IT literacy.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their management skills in a supportive and innovative environment. Please note cross site working is an essential part of this role due to the location of the administration team.
