We are looking for an administrator that supports the medical revalidation and appraisal processes. The opportunity has arisen due to retirement, so we are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual who wants to make a difference by helping assist in managing, maintaining and monitoring records of the medical appraisal and revalidation system. A key focus of the role is to ensure all data is correct and validated therefore if you will have excellent data entry, excel skills whilst being able to run reports with the need for attention to detail being a high priority.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Medical Staffing team, the Chief Medical Officer and the Deputy People Officer. The successful candidate will have a strong administrative background and excellent problem-solving skills is key. We are looking for an individual who encompasses our values and will ensure they are embedded within our processes.

In addition, the successful candidate will have an appreciation of the medical workforce and their challenges, the ability to work to tight deadlines,and good organisational skills.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide support to the Associate Medical Director for Revalidation in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of specific projects relating to non-training grade medical staff appraisal, revalidation and job planning
  • To maintain a medical appraisal and revalidation system/database complaint with GMC requirements
  • To be the main point of contact for medical staff within the Trust in relation to revalidation and appraisals
  • To administer the annual appraisal process for all grades of medical staff. Updating the online revalidation and job planning system with a variety of confidential information
  • To produce up-to-date and in-depth reports for the Associate Medical Director for Revalidation and Job Planning reports as required
  • Support both appraisers and appraisees on the requirements for medical appraisal and revalidation processes and associated systems. Give advice on revalidation, appraisal and the 360 appraisal to all medical and dental staff, Clinical Directors and Directorate Managers
  • Verification of Prescribed Connections including liaising with colleagues in HR to resolve queries and verify starter/leaver queries under direction from medical staffing
  • To keep thorough electronic records of the annual appraisal and revalidation process through the operation for Premier IT, electronic Portfolio (PReP), , creating reports and dealing with basic multi source feedback entries
