Job summary
The Blended Education and Training (BEAT) Department at University Hospitals Dorset are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic registered nurse who has a genuine passion for clinical education for the post of Clinical Educator. This is a full-time post to cover a 12 month secondment (secondment or fixed-term contract can be offered). Cross-site working across UHD will be required.
The Clinical Educator role is diverse however at present, the main focus is to support Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) to achieve their NMC Test of Competence and to make the transition to a UK registered nurse here at UHD. Working closely with Clinical Educator colleagues and the Clinical Education Lead, the successful candidate will work as part of the team planning, delivering and evaluating induction programmes for this group of staff as well as the OSCE Training Programme to support our nurses to pass their NMC Test of Competence. Other aspects of clinical education will be covered and training will be provided. Education will be delivered across different settings; classroom/lecture theatre based in the education centres, out in clinical practice or via a virtual platform. Collaborative working with colleagues across various teams across UHD will be essential for this role.
