Main duties of the job
University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is currently looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner responsible for the Income and Patient Level Information and Costing System (PLICS)
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, you will work closely with the wider senior finance team and will have responsibility for managing all financial aspects of Income for the Trust and integration of the Patient LevelInformation Costing System. You will work closely with Executive Leads, Group Director of Operations and Clinical Directors to provide specialist and expert financial advice and support services to develop new pathways and technologies, maximise business opportunities and ultimately deliver an excellent patient experience.
The post holder will be expected to use high level technical, analytical, interpersonal and negotiating skills to develop excellent working relationships with a wide range of internal and external managers across NHS organisations and the wider system.

To succeed in this role at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust you will:
- Be a qualified accountant with senior finance experience in a medium to large organisation. Prior experience of working in a costing or income team would be beneficial but not essential.
- Have experience of leading a small team and be familiar with activity and income budget setting and reporting, business case development and activity and capacity planning.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable experience in working with operational teams and other corporate functions to deliver a mature rounded service.
