Job summary
Christchurch and Poole are friendly, welcoming hospitals where the PH physiotherapists are part of the outpatient physiotherapy team and well integrated into the MDT and Maternity services. You will have a keen interest to develop your skills in all aspects of Pelvic Health, including Antenatal MSK, Perinatal Pelvic Health, Men's health and colorectal. Previous experience in some of these areas would be helpful but the right applicant will be supported in their knowledge and skill development.
We are a truly caring and dynamic PH physiotherapy team currently based across 2 sites who offer treatment for all conditions relating to Pelvic Health and perinatal musculoskeletal dysfunction.
Main duties of the job
You will:
- Provide evidence-based, specialist care to obstetric, urogynecology, male and colorectal patients.
- Contribute to key aspects of the service, mentoring of Band 5 and students and supporting the wider Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team, including some cross-site and off-site working.
- Promote and deliver a high quality, evidence-based, customer-focused service
- Work within national and local guidelines
You will have:
- Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) or equivalent
- Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied caseloads
- Experience of working successfully in partnership with consultants, midwives and other relevant medical practitioners, and participating in creating innovative solutions for new services
