Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Therapy Assistant to join the Dorset Pain Management Service. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with patients with long term conditions but if not please do get in touch anyway and have a chat as full training and support will be provided. This is a part-time post of 15hrs a week.
The post is to cover East Dorset and the team is base will be Poole Community Clinic with hybrid working and face to face clinics in Poole and Boscombe.
The Dorset Pain Management Service is a vibrant service, consisting of an inter-professional team. We employ modernised clinical practice to help people coping with chronic, non-malignant pain lead meaningful lives.
Our pan-Dorset service offers individual interventions and group programmes in various locations county wide; these are delivered by two teams across the county. The staff mix includes pain consultants, psychologists, specialist physiotherapists, pain and mental health nurses and occupational therapists, therapy assistants, trainees from various departments and our hardworking admin support team.

Main duties of the job
To support clinical staff in delivering treatment protocols for patients with Persistent Pain. To regularly work unsupervised, implementing treatment programmes for specific groups of patients/clients, assessing progress, and providing advice to patients and carers in a variety of settings.
To support with online and face to face pain management groups
To undertake related administrative duties
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
