Clinic Support Podiatry & Diabetes Administrator

Job summary

You will be required to provide efficient administrative and support for the Podiatry and Diabetes services. The role requires a flexible and dynamic person with good organisational skills, excellent Microsoft computer literacy and a can-do attitude, some the work can at times be pressured and stressful requiring a flexible and adaptive response.

You will need to liaise with members of the public and a variety of professionals, both in primary and secondary care services. Some patients may contact us in distress; therefore, we are looking for resilient applicants, with a compassionate work ethos, you will be provided the training and the skills to manage this, and you will thrive with the right level of support being offered by the Admin Manager.

You will have a solid administrative background and be able to multi-task and manage your time effectively. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and hard-working. You will have good customer care communication skills, an excellent telephone manner, attention to detail. You must be able to work accurately under pressure, whilst remaining calm and courteous and be able to work well as part of a team.

Main duties of the job

To provide, as part of the Patient Contact Centre, a Call Centre function to support patients in booking their Podiatry appointments.

To support the administrative functions of the Podiatry Suite for community services.

To accurately input data relating to clinic attendances, DNA's and recording patient pathways.

To ensure patients and visitors to the service are dealt with in a friendly and professional manner and to help ensure that each patient's experience is positive.

To support the Diabetes Education or Diabetes Specialist Nurses with administration functions of the services, projects and / or training days.
