Main duties of the job

Be responsible for providing support functions to Local Counter Fraud Specialist/Head of Counter Fraud through a range of activities, to ensure that the Trust delivers an integrated, comprehensive and professional counter fraud service to protect NHS resources from financial abuse.

The post holder will contribute to the agreed anti-fraud work-plans of client organisations. Principle duties will include fraud case management system data entry, stakeholder liaison, handling and recording evidence, developing an anti-fraud culture, detection, deterrence and prevention work. All work to be carried out in accordance with the NHSCFA Counter Fraud Manual, and to a standard required by relevant legislation and best practice.

The post holder will be required to travel and stay away from home periodically as part of their role, operating across a range of client groups.

Employment in this post requires an Stadndard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
