Job summary
Are you a person who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same? Are you an adaptive learner with an eye for detail who enjoys working as part of a team? If so, our Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Community Learning Disability Team may have the ideal opportunity for you.
We are an enthusiastic and dedicated team proving care and support for people with a learning disability living in the community. To help us to do this we are looking for an experienced administrative assistant to join our friendly Community Learning Disability Team (BCP CLDT) based in Bournemouth.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team in which you will receive training in our ways of working and opportunities to develop the efficiency of our administrative systems and procedures.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit an administrator with an initiative-taking outlook, the ability to prioritise a varied workload and the skills to provide comprehensive, effective, and confidential administrative support to the BCP CLDT.
To succeed within this role, you will need robust organisational skills and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of a variety of software packages such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and MS Teams.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be first point of contact either directly or by telephone with service users who have a learning disability, their families and support staff.
