Team Administrator

The closing date is 06 November 2025

Job summary

The Bournemouth Integrated Community Mental Health Team we are looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative duties for the teams and are looking for an organised, motivated, consistent and enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative skills to join our existing team.

The successful candidate will need to multi-task and work flexibly to help manage the workload of a busy Community Mental Health Team with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes including Outlook, Word, Excel, Winscribe and relevant NHS systems (Rio, Dorset Care Records, CLUES etc).

The successful candidate will need to have an excellent telephone manner, as you will often be the first point of contact for this busy team and will need to be able to work under pressure. You will have strong communication skills and good attention to detail with the ability to cope with complex tasks whilst ensuring databases are kept up to date.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be required to provide efficient administrative and reception support and at times to liaise with members of the public and a variety of professionals, both in primary and secondary care services. Given the nature of this service, some patients may contact us in distress, and we are looking for resilient applicants, with a compassionate work ethos who can thrive with the right level of support being offered by the Team Leader.

As a key member of the team, you will find the experience challenging, but rewarding and varied within the well-established and supportive team, where we have strong values about working in a patient centred manner, where their recovery and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills, sound administrative experience and a willingness to learn to be a part of a growing team as we move towards new ways of working.

This is a part -time position within regular office hours 08.30 - 1700 with a 60 minute lunchbreak.
