Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician or existing team leader to join a friendly, established and effective Home Treatment Team based at St Ann's Hospital in Poole and covering the East Dorset area.
The Home Treatment Teams provide short-term intensive community care and treatment for service users in Dorset over 18, experiencing an acute and severe episode of mental illness.
Home Treatment Teams are an integral part of the Trust Access Mental Health Services Access Mental Health Dorset (dorsethealthcare.nhs.uk) and are closely linked to both community and inpatients. The primary aims of supporting service user to remain at home (or other community setting) and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions, and facilitating earlier discharge from hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for day to day operational management, ensuring safe staffing and staff development, and clinical management to ensure excellent patient care.
