Job summary

An exciting opportunity to join our Professional Development and Clinical Education Team as an Administrator (Dysphagia Training Team) within the Learning and Development Service. You will be working within a small, dynamic and dedicated team who provide Dysphagia training to staff within Dorset Healthcare and to the wider ICS and private sector.

The role involves hybrid working; Office based (Forston Clinic, MOD base, West Moors or Sentinel House), within Trust training venues and external venues across the county and with the opportunity for some working from home as required/agreed. You will assist with the smooth running of the Service, assist the trainer with classroom training (involving the preparation of food and thickening agents), be responsible for the maintenance and transportation of training equipment, maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills and effective working relationships in respect of training, education and CPD for our workforce and external agencies.

You will be a good team worker, enjoy working with people and have excellent organisational, planning and customer service skills. You will have comprehensive knowledge of MS Office applications, with a focus on Outlook, Word and Excel.

This is a part-time post of 22.5 hours /3 days per week. Days to be agreed but flexible working may be required in response to service needs.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated and proactive team player with demonstrable administrative experience to provide a comprehensive administration and training support service to the Dysphagia Training Team (and wider team if required) . You will be required to assist with the smooth running of Dysphagia training in a variety of settings across Dorset and therefore have a willingness to travel.

To provide administrative support for Learning & Development projects

Develop & maintain close working relationships and work collaboratively with the L&D Team to meet the Trust's L&D goals
