Job summary

As an Enhanced Clinical Practitioner, you will be a confident clinical leader, with the ability to work flexibly and make clinical decisions in a fast paced environment, provide supervision, consultation and guidance to CAMHS clinicians and other agencies and help provide support, advice and guidance to families across Dorset.

Main duties of the job

As an Enhanced Clinical Practitioner, you will provide high quality person centered care in accordance with the Thrive model and undertake independent assessment and management of service users to incorporate psychological and developmental considerations, where appropriate making complex clinical decisions regarding service user management and clinical outcomes.

You will feel confident in providing advanced clinical advice, leadership and support to the wider team, ensuring the needs of the service are met, as well as being a point of contact for other agencies.You will be able to manage change, monitor and improve standards through supervision, evidence-based practice, clinical audit, research and education, and promote and demonstrate best practice by integrating evidence into practice.

You will have oversight of the patient flow by ensuring that clinical decisions are guided by biopsychosocial formulations of need, and there are clear treatment plans with identified goals and processes for evaluating clinical impact of any psychological interventions.

  • Trained in PMVA techniques or willing to be trained

  • Evidence of further post graduate degree level or equivalent training or knowledge pertinent to CAMHS
  • Current registration with appropriate professional body, eg NMC / HCPC / UKCP, BPS, BABCP
