Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 cleaners to join our committed and friendly team at Blandford Hospital.

The successful candidates will be responsible for, achieving a high standard of cleanliness in clinical and non-clinical areas throughout Blandford Hospital and for ensuring that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained for patients and visitors

A flexible approach, good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to use your own initiative are essential.

Experience in cleaning in a care environment would be an advantage but not essential as full onsite training will be provided.

Available hours - 2 x 20hrs

Main duties of the job

Supporting the Facilities team to ensure the National cleaning standards are maintained throughout the Hospital.

Main duties include general cleaning, hoovering, mopping, high and low dusting, cleaning bathrooms and toilets and changing curtains. On the ward areas some enhanced cleaning will be required.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
