Job summary
We are looking for specialist neurodevelopmental practitioner to join our neurodevelopmental assessment team.
You will hold a clinical caseload of young people who require an autism assessment. You will complete core components of the ASD and will therefore need to be highly experienced in completing assessment for Autism in young people, to include having an understanding of differential diagnosis. Being trained to complete ADOS-2 assessment is essential to this role. In addition to directly completing components of the assessment, you will co-ordinate assessments and be a point of contact for the YP and families across the duration of their assessment process.
You will also contribute to the post-diagnostic support needed for CYP and their families, and in signposting families to appropriate ongoing support as part of the discharge process from the assessment team.
You will receive supervision, support and training to develop your skills and will work in teams with a strong ethos of team work and effective multi agency working.

Main duties of the job
You will hold a caseload of children and young people who are on the ASD assessment pathway. You will complete components of the assessment and co-ordinate assessments to ensure they are completed within a timely fashion. Some liaison with schools or partner agencies when and where required to support the assessment will be required.
