Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to come and work within the Dorchester District Nursing Teams . The team administrator is often the patients first point of contact with the service. As a result we are looking for the successful candidate to be friendly, professional and able to work under pressure. Previous experience of SystmOne is beneficial but not essential.

This post is open to full or part time/job share requests. The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Main duties of the job

To assist the team by providing clinical and administrative support services.

To ensure the provision of an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative support including dealing with telephone enquiries, relatives, carers, GPs, Social Workers and other agencies, maintaining good communications between staff members of the Trust and outside representatives using own initiative and managing own workload.

Ensure notes are available for visits and the management of notes on return scanning and filing. Ordering of supplies.
