About us

Dorset Healthcare is responsible for the provision of Memory Assessment Services (MAS) across the county and nationally it has been recognised that Dementia is an area of health significance with an ever-increasing ageing population. We are proud to say the Trust, in conjunction with our local Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) have recently completed a review of all the Dementia Services in Dorset and secured significant additional funding to redevelop and expand the diagnostic and treatment services that we provide. The new model of care was implemented in April 2021 and follows a clear pathway from diagnosis to treatment encapsulated by the following stages:

Preventing Well > Diagnosing Well > Living Well >Supporting Well >Supporting Well in Crisis>Dying Well

This is an exciting time to join MAS as we are implementing the new model for and expanding our clinical workforce and remit under the Diagnosing and Living Well part of the pathway. For more information about this please visit:
